Course overview: This foundation course will help you understand the basic administration tasks for configuring Google Apps, including:
  • Registering the domain
  • Configuring mail flow
  • Enabling Google Apps services
Prerequisites: None

Who should attend: IT personnel who deploy Google Apps and Google Apps administrators.

Google Apps Deployment Essentials (Apps 200)

Course overview: Provides in-depth technical training and hands-on exercises with Google Apps for Business to jump-start your product knowledge and skills. You'll learn how to:
  • Configure your customer's Google Apps for Business account
  • Plan your customer’s deployment
  • Provision and manage user accounts
  • Migrate data using Google tools
  • Manage Google Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Groups
  • Configure and support mobile devices
  • Manage multiple domains
  • Describe mail delivery architectures and deployment use cases
  • Implement security features such as Single Sign On (SSO), SSL, compliance content rules and Postini services integrated with Google Apps
After completing the coursework, participants will complete a project to reinforce the concepts and skills taught in this course.

Prerequisites:
  • Google Partner who has completed a contract with Google.
  • Some hands-on experience with the administration, implementation, and deployment of enterprise email/calendaring systems.
  • Completion of the Apps100 course
  • A Google Apps for Business account. If you want to use an existing "Free" Google Apps account, upgrade it by
    completing the Hands-On Practical: Google Apps for Business Request form.

Google Apps Advanced Technical Deployment (Apps 300)

Course overview: Provides comprehensive hands-on experience with deploying Google Apps for Business, with emphasis on:
  • Creating a deployment blueprint
  • Running a customer deployment workshop
  • Mail flow design
  • Change management
  • Data migration methodology
Prerequisites:
  • Google Partner who has completed a contract with Google
  • Completion of the Apps 200 course
  • Basic knowledge of project management
Who should attend:
  • Technical implementation specialists
  • Deployment specialists/engineers
  • Technical program managers or project leads
Course length: 3 days


Google Apps Advanced Deployment - Connectors & Troubleshooting  (Apps 302)

Course overview: Provides comprehensive hands-on experience with deploying Google Apps for Business, with emphasis on advanced deployment tools such as:
  • Google Calendar Connector for Microsoft Exchange
  • Google Apps Connector for Blackberry Enterprise Server
  • Hands-on configuration of split delivery using Postini standalone service for a Google Apps deployment
  • Troubleshooting: Mail flow, Calendar and Google Apps Directory Sync
Prerequisites:
  • Completion of the Apps 200 course
  • Basic knowledge of project management
Who should attend:
  • Technical implementation specialists

Google Apps Advanced Deployment - Lotus Domino (Apps 303)

Course overview: Provides comprehensive hands-on experience with migrating a customer from Lotus Notes to Google Apps for Business, with emphasis on:
  • Hands-on configuration of  Google Apps Migration for Lotus Notes (GAMLN)
  • Hands-on configuration of  Google Calendar Connector for Lotus Notes (GCCLN)
  • Troubleshooting common errors when migrating from Lotus Notes to Google Apps
  • Identify best practices when migrating from Lotus Notes
Prerequisites:
  • Completion of the Apps 200 course
  • Basic knowledge of Lotus Domino and Notes

Google Apps Advanced Deployment - Change Management (Apps 400)

Course overview: Provides comprehensive hands-on experience of change management activities to deploy Google Apps for Business, with emphasis on:
  • Planning for the three workstreams: readiness, communications and training
  • Understanding best practices and how to apply them in different customer situations
  • Tailoring readiness, communications and training activities to a specific customer's needs
  • (Day-3) Implementing best practices in instructional design and training delivery
